Gunmen abduct wife of Oyo APC youth leader

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have kidnapped a medical doctor, Mrs Arikeade Oni-Salawu, in Oyo state.

Arikeade, the wife of the youth chief of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo, Areokuta Salawu, was kidnapped on the doorway gate of her residence in Aromolaran house of Ibadan at about 10pm on Sunday, May 23.

It was gathered that the medical doctor, who was getting back from clinic, had alighted from her workplace ambulance to open the gate when armed males abruptly emerged and kidnapped her correct in entrance of her husband who drove behind her.

It was extra learnt that the gunmen seized telephones of the APC youth leader whereas they left behind the cellphone of their sufferer.

Confirming the incident to Nigerian Tribune, Areokuta Salawu’s affiliate, acknowledged;

“The APC youth leader called me at about 4.30 am to tell me that his wife was kidnapped at about 10pm yesterday. The reality is, he is nonetheless in shock on the incident. His wife, a medical doctor, was getting back from the clinic and was driving the ambulance whereas her husband drove his private automotive. The wife had the gate key and alighted to open the gate. Out of the blue, gunmen emerged from nowhere and kidnapped her. They solely left the wife’s cellphone and took away the husband’s telephones.” the affiliate narrated.
