Nigel Lythgoe was the producer of the reality shows Pop Idol and American Idol.

Lythgoe is the creator and executive producer of So You Think You Can Dance, on which he served as a judge for the first sixteen seasons. He also created the 2009 competition Superstars of Dance.

Kris Lythgoe is the youngest son of Nigel Lythgoe and Bonnie Lythgoe.

He graduated from Haileybury in Hertford UK.

Kris Lythgoe is known for Who Are You?, So You Think You Can Dance, Ellen’s Game of Games (2017), My Beautiful Game (2013), Soccer Superstar (2015), et al.

Lythgoe has also created several American pantomimes based upon folk- and fairy-tales and folk tales.
