Thích Nhất Hạnh was a Vietnamese Thiền Buddhist monk, peace activist, and founding father of the Plum Village Custom (the principle inspiration for engaged Buddhism).

Thich Nhat Hanh was born on October 11, 1926, in Hue, Vietnam to folks, Nguyễn Đình Phúc and Trần Thị Dĩ. He was the second-youngest of six kids, with three older brothers, an elder sister, and a youthful brother.
