ST. LOUIS — eighth Avenue Meals & Provisions, Inc., a unit of Submit Holdings, Inc., celebrated the opening of a brand new 250,000-square-foot plant in Hazelwood, Mo., on Jan. 20.
eighth Avenue had introduced in mid-December that it might be relocating its fruit and nut manufacturing plant from Burnaby, BC, to Hazelwood. The plant will prep and package deal snack nuts, path combine and dried fruit for retail, foodservice and ingredient prospects.
The corporate stated it’s now searching for to fill the 300 positions to function the plant.
The shift of operations from Canada to Missouri continues a sequence of transitions for eighth Avenue. In June 2020 the corporate moved its headquarters to St. Louis from Minneapolis. The corporate operates 9 crops in North America with roughly 2,000 staff.
