2022 WTT Championship: Nigeria’s Quadri crashes out after defeat to Sweden’s Kallberg
Nigerian table tennis player, Aruna Quadri crashed out of the 2022 World Table Tennis Championship in Macao, China, after losing to Sweden’s Anton Kallberg.
Quadri is ranked above Kallberg but failed to get the better of his opponent.
The 34-year-old lost in a straight set to the Swede.
Kallberg dominated the game and won 11-8, 11-9, 11-9.
The defeat put paid to Quadri’s ambition of matching his 2019 achievement where he made it to the Round of 32.
Quadri is the first African player to be ranked in the top 10.
