2 dead, 3 injured in separate Aurora crashes Saturday

AURORA, colo. — Two individuals had been killed and three others significantly injured after two separate crashes in Aurora Saturday night.

The pair of two-vehicle crashes occurred across the similar time, 6:45 p.m. Saturday, and occurred close to Buckley Air Drive Base – north of the bottom and southeast of the bottom.

The unrelated crashes killed two males — 60 and 61 years outdated — and significantly injured two teenagers and an grownup.

The primary crash reported to police occurred on East Stephen D. Hogan Parkway, between East sixth Avenue and South Picadilly Highway, north of Buckley AFB.

A 60-year-old man driving a Toyota Tundra pickup was pronounced deceased on the scene. An 18-year-old lady driving a Honda Match was transported to the hospital with severe accidents.

Police imagine the 18-year-old driving the Honda westbound on E. Stephen D. Hogan Pkwy. veered into the eastbound lanes for an unknown purpose and collided head-on with the Toyota, killing the motive force of the Toyota, who police mentioned was not carrying a seatbelt on the time.

Police mentioned alcohol and medicines usually are not suspected to have been a contributing issue on this crash. No arrests have been made they usually mentioned the case stays an open and lively investigation.

Simply two minutes later, a second two-vehicle crash occurred on the intersection of East Iliff Avenue and South Tower Highway, southeast of Buckley AFB.

A 61-year-old man driving a Chevy Equinox was pronounced lifeless on the scene. A 25-year-old man who was driving a Chrysler 300 and his 19-year-old passenger survived the collision and had been transported to an area hospital in severe situation.
