19 Year Old Bride, Forced Into Marriage Stabs 35 Year Old Husband, To Death In Adamawa

Rummasau Mohammed, a 19 12 months outdated bride, has allegedly stabbed her 35-year-old husband, Mohammed Adamu, to demise, in Adamawa State.

Press Informant learnt that the teenage bride was forcibly married to the deceased about three weeks in the past.

 

She was mentioned to have stabbed him within the abdomen three weeks after days of pleading for a divorce to no avail.

 

An eyewitness, Jophas Johsley, famous that the incident occurred in Wuro-Yanka village beneath the Shelleng Native Authorities Space of the state.

 

He mentioned, “She was truly married to him in opposition to her want final month. They received married on August 6, 2021. Since then she had been demanding a divorce however her late husband would not agree, resulting in this unhappy improvement the place she took his life.”

 

The police confirmed the incident by means of the spokesperson for the state command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje.

 

He mentioned, “The Adamawa State Police Command on September 7 apprehended a 19 12 months outdated girl for stabbing her 35-year-old husband to demise. The suspect, Rumasau Muhammed, stabbed her late husband Muhammed Adamu with a knife after looking for for divorce and the deceased refused to pronounce such divorce.

 

“Angered by his refusal to divorce her after a number of requests, the suspect used a knife and stabbed him on his abdomen, because of which he fell down unconscious and was rushed to the hospital the place he was confirmed lifeless.
