100L OAU student dies after falling into septic tank in her hostel (Video)
A 100-level scholar of Obafemi Awolowo College (OAU), recognized as Heritage Ajibola, has died after unintentionally falling into the septic tank in her hostel on Wednesday February 9.
It was gathered that Heritage, who was learning Linguistics and African Research within the College, was packing the garments she had washed earlier when she slipped into the septic tank in her hostel the place college students reportedly pay over N200,000 for a room.
The College’s College students’ Union president, Ogunperi Taofeek Olalekan, has confirmed the tragic incident in an announcement he launched on Wednesday.

“Heritage Ajibola, the Linguistics and African Languages scholar who unintentionally fell into the soakaway this afternoon at Bver Hostel, Upkeep Hostels, is confirmed lifeless!

It have to be famous that Heritage’s loss of life was avoidable if the soakaway system was correctly constructed and lined. It’s saddening that this has occurred regardless of the massive quantities of cash paid by college students for lease. The Administration of the Hostel should reply for the loss of life of Heritage.
