See stunning photographs of former conjoined twin sisters 14 years after they have been separated by means of surgical procedure

Kendra Deene Herrin and Maliyah Mae Herrin are former conjoined twins born in 2002 in Salt Lake, Utah, USA. They have been separated on the age of 4 in August 2006.

Previous to their separation surgical procedure, medical doctors in the US and in Europe mentioned whether or not it was moral to separate the twins as they shared a kidney. Although this might pose a giant threat to Maliyah as Kendra was the one with the kidney, nonetheless their household and medical doctors believed a separation would give both girls their best chance to dwell a standard life.

After the separation surgical procedure was carried out, Kendra retained their shared, whereas Maliyah Herrin underwent dialysis till she was transplanted with a kidney donated by her mom in April 2007.

It’s price noting that Kendra and Maliyah have been the primary set of conjoined twins to be separated to share a kidney.
