Andrews began her career as a child actress and singer in London. She made her Broadway debut in 1954 with “The Boy Friend” and later starred in “My Fair Lady” and “Camelot” on Broadway. She is best known for her roles in the films “Mary Poppins” (1964) and “The Sound of Music” (1965). Andrews has won numerous accolades throughout her career spanning over seven decades including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, two Emmy Awards, three Grammy Awards and six Golden Globe Awards as well as nominations for three Tony Awards.
