On the 30th of October, 2020, the boss of Starboy Entertainment released his fourth studio and second major label album dubbed “Made In Lagos”.
British musicians Skepta and Ella Mai, American R&B singer H.E.R., Jamaican artists Projexx and Damian Marley, and Nigerian singers Burna Boy, Tay Iwar, Terri, and Tems were all featured on Starboy’s album which was co-produced by RCA Records.
The album was nominated for the Rest of Africa Award at the 27th annual South African Music Awards. The deluxe edition of Made in Lagos was released on August 27, 2021, and featured guest appearances by Nigerian artist Buju and Canadian singer Justin Bieber.
Meanwhile, Wizkid is expected to promote Made in Lagos with his Made in Lagos Tour, which will take place in California, New York City, Boston, Canada, and Los Angeles beginning September 10, 2021.
Well, per recent update on the progress of the album, the ‘Made In Lagos’ album is expected to the highest charting album of all time in Nigeria.
In other news, fast-rising Ghanaian artiste Broni has said the most defining moment of his young musical career was when Memphis Depay jammed to his song. Broni released his single titled “Memphis Depay” back in June, in collaboration with DJ Aroma.
“I was so happy when Depay posted that video dancing to the song I made with his name. It felt good to be recognized by such a great footballer. It will for a long time be one of my biggest highlights. I am such a big fan, and I am glad he likes my music too,” he said in a recent interview.
Known in real life as Kelvin Nana Kwame, Broni is a Ghanaian Highlife, Afrobeat, and Afro-pop singer-songwriter from Akyem Oda, in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
