Who will be attending the 2022 Cannes Film Festival?

The Cannes Film Festival is only open to professionals in the film industry. Cannes is unlike any other A-list film festival. The majority of the festival is off-limits to the general public, with accreditation, screenings, and admission to official locations strictly controlled.

Cannes is famed for its glamorous celebrity image, and moviegoers can catch a glimpse of high-profile celebs strolling along the Promenade de la Croisette. The custom-designed ensembles worn by the celebs are on par with the Oscars and the Met Gala.

India has been named the official ‘country of honour’ at this year’s Marche’ Du Films, also known as the Cannes Film Market, which will take place on the fringes of the Cannes Film Festival. Because of the honour, many Indian celebrities will walk the Cannes red carpet for the first time in 2022.

Among those who have already represented India at the Cannes Film Festival are Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Hina Khan, Helly Shah, Pooja Hegde, Akshay Kumar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, AR Rahman, R Madhavan, and Tamannaah Bhatia.
