Anchor Shannon Bream struggled with significant discomfort and had problems sleeping before finding hope through treatment.

Her doctor had been attempting to help her for about two years but had been unsuccessful. She says, “He said I was being extremely emotional.”

Bream called Dr. Thomas Clinch, a cornea specialist, who just happened to have a cancellation the next day after studying the top eye doctors in Washington, D.C. She had a syndrome called corneal map-dot fingerprint dystrophy exacerbating chronic erosion, according to him.

Bream was thrilled to obtain a diagnosis but devastated to learn there was no cure, according to People. But in their subsequent session, she and Clinch focused on therapeutic strategies.

In the end, Dr. Clinch used laser surgery to correct Bream’s persistent dry eye and improve her vision so she could stop using contacts in the fall of 2017 as she prepared to launch her program Fox News at Night.
