A newborn baby discovered deserted on Church altar of the Holy Fountain Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Oda Street, Akure, Ondo State.
It was gathered that members of the church heard a child crying after they entered contained in the constructing within the early hours of Wednesday, November 24.
They discovered the newborn wrapped in inexperienced garments and dumped on the altar by a but to be recognized individual.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident, mentioned that the newborn has been handed over to the state Ministry of Girls Affairs and Social Growth.
“The child was initially in our custody, however now we’ve got handed over the kid to officers of the ministry of ladies affairs.” she added.
