Khabib Nurmagomedov, a Russian former professional mixed martial artist, has reacted to Conor McGregor’s defeat to Dustin Poirier earlier today.

McGregor was left rolling after suffering the first knockout defeat of his UFC career to Poirier this weekend.

The Irishman was stopped by Poirier in the second round at UFC 257.

Reacting, Khabib, who has been retired since October 2020, when he defeated Justin Gaethje, wrote on Twitter: “This is what happened, when you change your team, leave the sparring partners who made you a champion and sparring with little kids, far away from reality.”

Meanwhile, McGregor has said he lost to the American fighter Poirier because his leg was dead.

“His leg kicks were good, my leg was dead, and I wasn’t as comfortable as I needed to be,” McGregor said.

“I have to dust it off and come back, and that is what I will do.”
