Police officers reportedly sacked for illegally impounding trailer of rice

A Nigerian man has revealed that all the police officers in a station have been sacked after they illegally impounded a trailer load of rice.

They also went on to sell and distribute the 2 tons trailer of rice.

Twitter user, @TheDukeOfAbuja, took to the micro blogging platform to narrate how some police officers lost their jobs for impounding his father’s trailers loaded with bags of rice.

According to him, the officers arrested the driver of the trailer and held him without access to phone calls for two weeks.

The Twitter users dad, then went to report the driver at a police station when he thought he absconded with his goods.

This led to the shocking discovery that the driver had been detained by some police officers.

Policemen impounded my dads 2 tons trailer of rice leaving for distribution, rice from his farm o. Held d driver for 2 weeks, refused him a phone call, shared & sold off the entire rice.

“Every policeman in the police station has been sacked this morning. Every last 1 of them.
He tot the driver absconded with his goods & vehicle and declared him wanted. One of the cops got word it was Ogas property and driver. They tried to bribe the driver with 500k to say he was robbed. Baba agreed, they gave him his phone, he called his oga to report. Kasala Box.

“Some of the policemen lost their jobs because they didn’t ask questions. DPO use bag of rice do Christmas palliative for his men/women, dem collect am happily.”
