Comrade Razaq Olokoba, renowned rights activist and National President of the Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), has described those who are behind the idea of commemorating the ill-fated #EndSARS first anniversary as enemies of the good people of Lagos State in particular and Nigerians in general.

Olokoba, in a statement made available to Our Correspondent wondered how anybody in his right senses could suggest such a destructive idea knowing full well that the injuries #EndSARS incident inflicted on the Nigerian people especially in Lagos State are still fresh and yet to heal adding that, families are still inconsolable over the death of their loved ones.

He recalled the wanton destruction of people’s heritages in the state when the #EndSARS rioters descended on business outfits and government property and put the peace-loving citizens into agony and bankruptcy, lamenting that some of the losses incurred are irreparable and irreversible.

According to him, going by the way the last year’s #EndSARS started and ended on a sad note, “no civilised country like ours would allow such destruction happen on its soil twice in a lifetime even though it is within the armpit of the law for the citizens to organise protests,” warning that, the proposed  #EndSARS anniversary on Wednesday, October 20, could go the same way because there is no assurance that the hoodlums that hijacked the #EndSARS protest last year have migrated to the Mass.

The CSO boss, who regretted the damages caused by the  rioters last year, asserted that it is sufficient justification to resist such an incident again, vowing to expose people who want to camouflage as part of the legitimate struggle for a better society to destroy Lagos.
