Suspected feminine human trafficker nabbed as 4 underaged women are rescued in Ilorin

A suspected feminine human trafficker has been arrested by operatives of the Nigerian Safety and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Kwara state.

 

Present Rita, 37, was arrested whereas 4 underaged women stated to be her intercourse slaves have been rescued.

 

The Commandant of the NSCDC in Kwara state, Makinde Iskil Ayinla, disclosed this in an announcement issued by the Command’s spokesman Babawale Zaid Afolabi and made obtainable to newsmen in Ilorin on Tuesday, Could 17.

 

The Commandant disclosed that the state Command was alerted by a involved citizen of a suspected case of human trafficking involving 4 underaged women with ages starting from 15 to 16 years who have been dropped at Ilorin from Port Harcourt for use as intercourse slaves or prostitutes.

 

He stated operatives of the human trafficking unit of the Command swung into motion and rounded them up on the level of entry.

The State Commander of NAPTIP, Saadu Mustapha, stated that the arrest of the suspect and the victims was profitable because of their collaboration with NSCDC.
