Southampton vs Arsenal: Keown suggest player to leave as Odegaard arrives

Former Arsenal defender, Martin Keown, has tipped Dani Ceballos to leave the club, with the imminent arrival of Martin Odegaard.

The Gunners have reached an agreement to sign Odegaard on loan from Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old joined the Spanish giants in 2015, but has only made eight LaLiga appearances for the club.

The Norwegian midfielder has been sent out on four separate loan moves.

Odegaard is set for another spell away, with his next destination looking likely to be the Emirates.

Keown is happy Mikel Arteta will add to his options in midfield, but has suggested the Norwegian’s arrival will spell the end for Ceballos.

“I’m assuming Arsenal are all over it. He [Odegaard] brings that quality into the midfield. It’s an area Arsenal need to strengthen.

“Does that mean [Dani] Ceballos will go? He’s on loan as well. Is he going to get football? Real Madrid may be concerned, he hasn’t played that much so far,” Keown told talk SPORT.
