Snakes, monkeys, termites ate documents, money under Buhari – Atiku’s camp to Tinubu

The camp of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has mocked the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, over his recent comment that the former ruling party was that of termites.

Atiku’s camp informed Tinubu that termites and snakes were said to have eaten money and documents under the APC’s President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

During the launching of the APC Women Campaign Council in Abuja, Tinubu had described PDP as a party full of corrupt politicians.

Tinubu likened PDP to a political party of termites.

“Our opponents spent 16 years, they had forgotten that the highway is an economy, electricity is mandatory for industrialisation. They don’t understand the transmission lines and the need for maintenance. They couldn’t make a down payment for the trail track. They are a political party of termites,” he had said.

Reacting, a media aide to Atiku, Phrank Shaibu, reminded Tinubu of how corrupt the APC government is.

According to Shaibu: “@officialABAT, have you forgotten that under Buhari’s @OfficialAPCNg #monkeys abandoned banana for #Naira notes; termites left woods for vouchers; snakes left rodents for #Naira notes? #Amnesia is real. Nigerians are your greatest albatross, hamstrung and nemesis! @daily.”

Animals have been blamed for missing funds without a trace or eating up financial documents under Buhari’s administration.

Termites were alleged to have recently eaten up some documents of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) containing expenditures worth N17.1 billion.
