Sir Victor Uwaifo Died of Chest Infection, Says Family

The late music maestro and varsity don Sir Victor Uwaifo died of chest an infection, his household has mentioned.

Sir Uwaifo’s nephew, Peter de Rock, a gospel musician, disclosed this to The Nation on Sunday morning.

A chest an infection is an an infection of the lungs or airways.

The primary sorts of chest infections are bronchitis and pneumonia.

Most bronchitis instances are attributable to viruses whereas most pneumonia instances are as a result of micro organism.

Peter de Rock revealed Sir Uwaifo, who was a Professor of Visible Arts on the College of Benin (UNIBEN), needed to be supported with oxygen till he breathed his final.

He mentioned: “Sir Victor Uwaifo died of chest an infection which affected his lungs, thereby resulting in difficulties in respiratory.

“That’s why he was supported with oxygen.”

The gospel musician, who collaborated with Sir Uwaifo over per week in the past on a track titled ‘Hallelujah’, hinted the burial association could also be carried out subsequent week.

Sir Uwaifo studied at UNIBEN the place he obtained a First Class in Utilized Arts at 54, a Grasp’s Diploma in Sculpture at 56 and Physician of Philosophy (PhD) in Architectural Sculpture at 77.

The ‘Joromi’ crooner and iconic highlife music percussionist celebrated his eightieth birthday in March.
