Liverpool moved level on points with Tottenham at the top of the Premier League as they put on a show at Anfield for their returning supporters with a 4-0 victory over Wolves on Sunday night, December 6, 2020.

It was the first time fans were allowed into the Liverpool stadium this season and they were not disappointed as Mohamed Salah pounced on Conor Coady’s error to open the scoring in the first half before goals from Georginio Wijnaldum, Joel Matip and a Nelson Semedo own goal sealed the emphatic victory and extended their unbeaten league home record to 65 games.

The three points see Liverpool move back up to second in the table, level on 24 points with Tottenham Hotspurs, who beat north London rivals Arsenal earlier in the day to claim first position on the table.

Chelsea, 3rd on the table, celebrated the return of supporters to Stamford Bridge with an entertaining and deserved 3-1 comeback win over Leeds United on Saturday December 5.

Meanwhile, Wolves stay 10th after suffering a fourth league defeat of the season.

Arsenal are in 15th position while Manchester United and Manchester city occupy 5th and 6th position respectively.
