Security guard arrested for allegedly stealing his employer’s N15m worth of jewelry – –
A safety guard, Adewale Adegbenro, has been arrested in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, after he allegedly broke into his employer’s residence and carted away jewellery value N15 million.
The suspect who allegedly broke into his boss’ home on December 14, 2021, was finally arrested by operatives of the Social Orientation and Security Corps (SO-SAFE CORPS) on Monday, January 24, 2022.
The corps’ spokesperson, Moruf Yusuf, who confirmed his arrest in a press release mentioned,
“The So-Protected Corps was contacted by Drive CIID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State that one Mr Adewale Adegbenro, popularly known as Akilapa, has been declared wished for burgling into the residence of his employer who employed him as an evening guard at Adigbe, Abeokuta.
“He carted away gold and jewellery value N15million since December 14, 2021. He was lastly apprehended someplace in Odeda after he was carefully monitored by officers of the corps.”
Talking additional, Moruf Yusuf, revealed the suspect has been transferred to the Drive CIID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State for additional investigation and certain prosecution.
