Queen Margrethe II is the queen of Denmark and the top of state. She can be the supreme authority of the Church of Denmark and the commander-in-chief of the Danish Defence.

She is the world’s solely newest queen regnant and the longest-serving present-day feminine head of state. She can be a scenographer, costume designer, and illustrator.

As sovereign, Margrethe has obtained 42 official state visits and she or he has carried out 55 worldwide state visits herself.

Queen Margrethe II has two younger sisters: Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie. Princess Benedikte was born in 1944 and is the following daughter of Frederik and Ingrid. She married Prince Richard of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, a German nobleman, in 1968.

They’ve three youngsters: Prince Gustav, Princess Alexandra, and Princess Nathalie. Queen Anne-Marie was born in 1946 and is the youngest daughter of Frederik and Ingrid. She married King Constantine II of Greece, her third cousin, in 1964.
