Lorient forward, Terem Moffi will spearhead Super Eagles’ attack in Thursday’s friendly against Portugal.

Leading marksman Victor Osimhen is ruled out of the game as a result of injury.

Moffi got the nod to lead the team’s attack in their last outing against the Desert Foxes of Algeria when Osimhen was also absent due to injury.

The 23-year-old enhanced his reputation by scoring in the 2-1 defeat to the former African champions.

The forward head into the game in fantastic form having scored 10 goals in 14 league appearances for Lorient this season.

Only France international Kylian Mbappe (12 goals) and Brazil superstar Neymar (11 goals) have scored more goals than him in the French top flight.

Cremonese forward, Cyriel Dessers, a late replacement for Osimhen and Genk of Belgium star, Paul Onuachu are the two other natural number nine in the squad.
