Outrage as Buhari Shuns Funeral Ceremony of Late Army Chief, Attahiru, 10 Others

Mr Attahiru and 10 different officers died within the crash that occurred in Kaduna on Friday whereas on official project to Zaria in Kaduna State.

President Muhammadu Buhari was absent on the burial ceremony of his Chief of Military Workers, Ibrahim Attahiru, drawing condemnation from Nigerians who questioned his absence from important nationwide events and his perceived lack of empathy.

Mr Attahiru, a lieutenant common, and 10 different officers had been laid to relaxation on the Nationwide Navy Cemetery, Abuja on Saturday, a day after they died in a navy aircraft crash.

They died within the crash that occurred in Kaduna on Friday whereas on official project to Zaria in Kaduna State.

They had been travelling to the Depot Nigerian Army, Zaria for the passing out parade of normal recruits slated for Saturday.

It was the third navy air catastrophe this 12 months and the military posted movies on social networks of the service attended by high political and navy leaders on the nationwide mosque.




The spiritual providers for the deceased had been organised by the navy.

The Islamic funeral service was held on the Nationwide Mosque, Abuja for the late military chief and 5 others who had been Muslims whereas the Christian funeral providers burial rites had been held on the Nigerian Air Power Protestant Church, Abuja for the officers who had been Christians.

After the spiritual providers, the our bodies of the useless officers had been taken to the Nationwide Navy Cemetery alongside Airport Highway for internment.

Tears, anguish
Relations, buddies, colleagues and sympathisers wept uncontrollably as their stays had been lowered into the graves.
