Lagos State Government will divert traffic from the Maryland-Mende Underpass from Tuesday.

Commissioner for Transportation, Frederic Oladeinde, said the closure was in continuation of the Opebi-Ojota bridge construction.

The official assured residents that alternative routes had been mapped out to ease movement.

Oladehinde advised motorists to use the Ojota interchange to connect Maryland and its environs.

Motorists heading to inner streets can use Mobolaji Bank Anthony road to access Emmanuel, Aderibigbe Shitta and Adeoye Adeyemi streets.

Those heading toward Mende and its environs can use Mende Street to link Ajose Street and connect Oki lane.

However, the repairs of a section of the Lagos-bound lane at the Iyana Era/Badagry Expressway has been postponed till further notice.

The commissioner added that the new date would be communicated to the public.
