Obasanjo on Secession - The Cost of Disintegration is Higher Than The Cost Of Being Together

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo says Nigerians can pay dearly if the nation succumbs to agitators clamour for secession, as a result of the price of disintegration is increased than the price of being collectively.

Mr Obasanjo made the assertion in Lagos on Friday at a guide lunch in honour of Sunday Mbang, Prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church Nigeria.

“The price of disintegration is increased than the price of being collectively. We’ve got all the things to achieve by being united reasonably than disunited,” Mr Obasanjo stated.

The previous president, who was the convener of the occasion, stated these fanning the embers of disunity are the enemies of Nigeria and might be disgraced.

The launch of the guide, “My Life and Occasions”, an autobiography of Mr Mbang, was to celebrate the prelate on his 85th birthday, which was on August 26.

Nigerian author and editor, Tony Kan, reviewed the guide, describing it as a chronicle of the actual lifetime of the prelate with all the products and never too most of the challenges of life.
