NYSC - Corps Member Delivers Baby Boy At Bayelsa Orientation Camp

A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) identified as Yanusa Ranatu has given birth to a baby boy in Bayelsa State.

 

Ranatu with call-up number BY/21B/1675 had just conclud­ed her registration on Thursday at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kaiama, headquarters of the Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, when the baby started pushing out.

 

She was rushed to the state referral hospital in Kaiama where she was delivered of her baby boy by a serving corps member, Dr Clara Mbanusi, who was on duty.

The State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs Ojugo Iyowuna had led a delegation of the camp officials to visit the child and Ranatu, who hails from Kwara State.

 

Iyowuna presented items to support both mother and child who were certified to be in good health.

The corps member thanked the NYSC for intervention, say­ing the scheme “is truly a caring institution.”
