NPA headquarters gutted by fire

Headquarters of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Broad avenue, Lagos was on Wednesday September 22 gutted by hearth.

The fireplace which was reportedly triggered by {an electrical} surge, affected three places of work on the sixth flooring of the constructing however no life was misplaced.

Basic Supervisor, Company and Strategic Communication of NPA, Olaseni Alakija, who confirmed the incident, mentioned officers of the NPA Hearth Service Division instantly mobilised to the scene and promptly contained the hearth.

The affected flooring had since been cordoned off and investigations are ongoing according to security protocols.

Alakija mentioned;

“The fireplace affected one workplace the place 2 desk tops, tables, chairs and different furnishings had been misplaced. Two different adjoining places of work had been affected by smoke and soot.

“The Administration of the Authority appreciates the immediate response and professionalism of the Authority’s Hearth service  and safety departments and needs to guarantee all stakeholders and most of the people that no delicate paperwork had been misplaced and normalcy has been restored and that our operations haven’t been disrupted in anyway.”

That is coming months after the constructing was set on hearth by hoodlums through the #EndSARS protest.
