Nollywood Actors Cynthia Okereke, Clemson Cornel ‘Kidnapped’
The Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced the kidnap of two prominent Nollywood actors; Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel.
The Director of Communications for Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Monalisa Chinda announced the kidnapping of the actors to Premium Times Friday.
In the statement by Monalisa Chinda, she disclosed that the family members of these kidnapped actors confirmed that they did not return home from a film location at Ozalla Town, Enugu state.
“The two members were suspected of having been kidnapped, which has increased fear amongst members about the safety of actors filming in the country.
“Because of this sad development, the National President of the Guild, Ejezie Emeka Rollas, has instructed all Actors to avoid going to the outskirt of cities to film except full security cover is provided to ensure their safety,” the statement read.
The president of AGN, Mr. Rollas also expressed shock over the incident and has urged security agencies to speed up investigations and rescue the actos.
