Nine cultists arrested during supremacy clash in Ogun (photo)

Males of the Ogun state police command have arrested 9 members of Eye cult group within the Ajegunle space of Ibogun throughout a supremacy battle between them and members of Alora Confraternity.

A press release launched by DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, spokesperson of the state police command, stated the suspects recognized as Sodiq Olabisi, Oluwatosin Andrew, Oladimeji Oyedele, Wasiu Raheem, Oyedokun Lekan, Yusuf Ajetunmobi, Busari Taoreed, Bolaji Raphael and Salami Toheeb have been arrested on Monday, Could 24.

Based on Oyeyemi,

”Whereas the conflict was happening, misery name was made to the police divisional headquarters in Ibogun, and the DPO, CSP Samuel Oladele rapidly led his males to the scene. On sighting policemen,  the cultists, who had already inflicted severe accidents on the chest of 1 member of Alora group, ran away with their injured colleagues, whereas police efficiently apprehended the 9 suspects.”

He added that gadgets recovered from them embrace one cutlass, 5 knives, 2 axes, 5 telephone Batteries, and 4 thousand naira money.

Oyeyemi added that the state commissioner of police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the instant switch of the suspects to anti-cultists part of the state legal investigation and intelligence division for discreet investigation, whereas the fleeing members of the group ought to be hunted for and dropped at justice.
