NBC Okays 159 Radio, TV Stations
President Muhammadu Buhari has granted approval to 159 corporations, communities and establishments of upper studying to function radio and tv stations.
The Director Basic of the Nationwide Broadcasting Fee (NBC), Malam Balarabe Ilelah, introduced this in a press release yesterday in Abuja.
“Following the approval granted by the President, NBC has launched the record of 159 licences granted to corporations, communities and establishments of upper studying.
“The fee was established by the NBC Act, Cap. N11, Legal guidelines of the Federation 2004, with the mandate to control and management broadcasting in Nigeria.
“At the moment, there are a complete of 625 useful broadcast stations in Nigeria,” Ilelah stated.
The NBC boss stated the newly-approved licences have been for the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro (Radio), Potential Union of Reno Folks (Radio), Smile Group Radio Initiative and Worldwide Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) Radio.
He stated others are: Dudu African Broadcasting Communications Restricted, Unbiased Tv, Prince Media Community, Jamkat Integrity Funding Restricted, Hikima Media Companies, and Galaxy Tv Radio.
The NBC boss additionally listed different licencees as H-i Constancy Communications, B360 Nigeria Restricted, Communication Schools Restricted, Godfrey Okoye College Radio, Artwork Broadcasting Firm, Hamdana Media, Sunshine Radio, Blue Print Newspapers Restricted, NV Broadcasting Firm Restricted, amongst others.
