The Nationwide Company for Meals and Drug Administration and Management (NAFDAC) has seized a truckload of unregistered milk suspected to be counterfeit in Sokoto.

This was disclosed by NAFDAC Coordinator in Sokoto State, Malam Garba Adamu, in an interview with Newsmen on Wednesday.

Adamu mentioned that the consignment of 300 cartons of 35g creamer sachet was seized on Sept. 6 on the in style Kantin Daji market whereas the car was on transit to Kano.

He mentioned that the gadgets have been confiscated and the persons concerned fined, to function a deterrent to others.

The coordinator defined that the company’s headquarters had, in July, alerted state workplaces of circulation of unregistered milk and different merchandise within the nation.

He enjoined members of the general public to be cautious of their consumables and monitor any unregistered merchandise in order to assist NAFDAC in safeguarding their well being.
