Mikaela Shiffrin Siblings: Meet Taylor Shiffrin: Mikaela Shiffrin, officially known as Mikaela Pauline Shiffrin is an American alpine skier.

She was born to Eileen and Jeff Shiffrin on March 13, 1995, in Vail, Colorado, United States. Shiffrin developed a love for skiing at a younger age and became the youngest slalom champion in Olympic alpine skiing history, at 18.

She is a four-time Overall World Cup champion, a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, a four-time world champion in slalom, and a six-time winner of the World Cup discipline title in that event.

In January 2023, Mikaela Shiffrin made major headlines when he broke the women’s Alpine skiing World Cup wins record with her 83rd career victory.

Shiffrin broke her tie with Lindsey Vonn by taking a giant slalom in Kronplatz, Italy, on Tuesday, January 24. The American, Shiffrin finished 0.77 seconds ahead of the field in Sunday’s giant slalom to claim an eighth win of the season.

The two-time Olympic gold medallist, Shiffrin is currently the reigning women’s World Cup champion, with four Crystal Globe titles in her career, and comfortably leads this year’s overall standings.

Mikaela Shiffrin grew up with elder brother; Taylor Shiffrin. He raced for the University of Denver and was a member of the Denver ski team which won its 22nd National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
