Mary Ellin Barrett, November 25, 1926 – July 16, 2022, was an American author and the oldest daughter of Ellin and composer Irving Berlin.

She grew up in New York Metropolis, the place by she attended the Brearley School. She then went to Barnard School, majoring in music.
