Manchester United star, Scott McTominay has been dominated out of Scotland’s World Cup qualifier away to Moldova on Friday because of sickness.

Scotland supervisor Steve Clarke confirmed the Manchester United midfielder had been despatched residence from a coaching camp in Spain as he’s affected by a throat virus.

The 24-year-old may rejoin the squad this weekend forward of Monday’s residence qualifier towards Denmark, if he’s deemed match sufficient to return, whereas Kieran Tierney is offered for choice.

Talking forward of the Moldova journey, Clarke mentioned: “Virtually everybody is nice.

 

“Sadly, Scott McTominay has picked up a little bit of a throat virus so we’ve got despatched Scott residence to relaxation and recuperate and hopefully be part of us once more on the weekend.”
