A Nigerian man, Dearest Osas has said that Nigerian men have told him how they feel uncomfortable calling him by his name ‘Dearest’

“In the space of 24hrs, I have encountered 2 Nigerian men who have told me that they feel “uncomfortable” calling me by my own name, Dearest. I think that’s really sad. How are you so far out of touch with yourself that you think calling my name might have you judge yourself as gay?” he tweeted on Saturday January 23.

“Even if it wasn’t my actual government name, how is your masculinity so easily put to question? You have set up these limitations for yourself that hinder you from expressing affection through terms of endearment for your friends who you actually have real love for. How sad.” he added.
