Man killed in Lafayette crash ID’d by Boulder County coroner

LAFAYETTE, Colo. – A person who was killed in a crash in Lafayette on Tuesday has been recognized by the Boulder County coroner.

Douglas Malcom, 63, of Broomfield, was killed in a crash close to Freeway 287 and Isabelle Street Tuesday.

A press release from Domesticate, a civic and social group that helps seniors join with the group, mentioned Malcolm, who was recognized as a veteran outreach specialist for the group, had lived in Colorado for 35 years and was an honorably discharged veteran who served for over 20 years, primarily with the Colorado Air Nationwide Guard.

“It’s with a heavy coronary heart and quite a lot of unhappiness that we remorse to tell you that Doug Malcom, our Veteran Outreach Specialist, and Duncan, his beloved goldendoodle, tragically handed away yesterday, February 1.
