A 35-year-old Ghanaian man has been arrested for allegedly killing his 50-year-old cousin after she refused to marry him.

Graphic GH reported that the unhappy incident occurred at Uro-Mekaa close to Kalba within the Sawla-Tuna Kalba District of the Savannah Area in Ghana.

The suspect, Kpeyiri Neiba, was arrested this week by the Sawla Divisional Police Command for the homicide of Janet Ansaaku.

In keeping with the police, throughout interrogation, the suspect confessed to the grotesque killing, stating that the deceased didn’t marry him.

The Savannah Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Adjekum Owusu, who confirmed the incident to DAILY GUIDE, mentioned on Thursday, Could 27, one Martin Kojo Soyintey residing at Vongbe close to Kalba referred to as at Sawla cost workplace with a report that Neiba had murdered his cousin referred to as Janet Ansaaku within the bush at Uro-Mekaa.

He mentioned police accompanied by the complainant proceeded to the scene of the crime at Uro-Mekaa and located Janet mendacity in a pool of blood because of the cuts on her physique.

The physique was despatched to the Sawla District Hospital and a postmortem was subsequently carried out on the physique earlier than it was launched to the bereaved household for burial.

In the meantime, the suspect is still with the police for additional investigation.
