Landlady arrested for allegedly killing tenant in Ondo

A 45-year-old landlady merely acknowledged as Mrs Folasade, has been arrested for allegedly killing her tenant, Mrs Omolola Oladipupo all through a scuffle throughout the kitchen.

In the midst of the scuffle on the house located at Taotao Avenue location, Lotogbe in Ondo State, it was alleged that Folashade struck the deceased on the highest, leading to her demise.  It was gathered that the battle ensued after Folashade accused Omolola of strolling all through her pot throughout the kitchen.

The deceased’s husband, Mr Ikudabo Oladipupo who disclosed that his wife was confirmed lifeless at a hospital she was rushed to, described the incident as “unfortunate”.

Oladipupo said;

 “I was contained within the room as soon as I heard the voice of my wife and our landlady. I heard my wife saying she wished to go and that the landlady should switch her pot away from the pathway to the kitchen, nevertheless my landlady said she would not switch the pot.

“She instructed my wife to go some place else. So, as my wife wished to go by the aspect of the pot, my landlady held her and pushed her away.

“Sooner than I might come out of the house, my landlady had pushed my wife on the bottom. After I seen her state of affairs, I quickly rushed her to a hospital the place she was confirmed lifeless”

The state police spokesperson, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami said investigations had commenced on the case.
