Kidnappers Freed Prof Osadolor Odia of Ambrose Alli University

The kidnapped former Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Prof. Osadolor Odia, has been freed.

The don was seized by gunmen last Thursday on the way to his farm at Egoro, Ekpoma.

His wife, Dr. Amraibure, confirmed his release, but was not forthcoming on whether ransom was paid.

She said her husband was set free on Saturday.

“He received treatment for injuries he sustained. He has since been discharged from the hospital. He is hale and hearty,” she said.

Police spokesman Bello Kontongs could not be reached at press time.
