John F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States (1961–63) and was born on May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts, U.S He was the youngest person to assume the presidency by election and the youngest president at the end of his tenure.

He faced a number of foreign crises, especially in Cuba and Berlin, but managed to secure such achievements as the Nuclear Test-Ban Treaty.

John F. Kennedy was a charismatic leader who inspired many people with his speeches and his vision for the future. He was also a strong advocate for civil rights and was instrumental in the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Kennedy’s presidency was cut short when he was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas.
