Jeremy Dickson Paxman is an English broadcaster, journalist, author, and tv presenter.

Born in Leeds, Paxman was educated at Malvern School and St Catharine’s Faculty, Cambridge, wherever he edited the undergraduate newspaper Varsity.

At Cambridge, he was a member of a Labour Event membership and defined himself as a socialist, although in in a while existence defined himself as a 1-country conservative.

He joined the BBC in 1972, initially at BBC Radio Brighton, whereas he relocated to London in 1977.
