JAMB Opens Portal For Admission, Gives Update On Sale Of UTME Form

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says its portal is officially opened for institutions to upload names of shortlisted applicants for the 2020/2021 admission.
The Registrar of the examination body, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, made this known to The Nation in Abuja on Tuesday, January 5.

According to the JAMB Boss, all the admission processes will pass through the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) for approval by the board.

Oloyede noted that only qualified candidates as recommended by their institutions for admission will be approved.

He stressed that some institutions in the country have already begun the use of CAPS, adding that the system has been opened for the conduct of this year’s admission.

Speaking further, Oloyed disclosed that the board has not fixed a date for the sale of 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms.

He warned prospective candidates to be wary of the rumour mongers and fraudsters, adding that the clarification became necessary because of fake news.

Oloyede also attributed the delay in the sale of the form to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis in the country.

The JAMB Boss, however, disclosed the examination body would conclude arrangements soon on the sale of the form.
