IPOB/ESN commander killed in Imo, 16 IEDs recovered (photo)

The police in Imo state has killed a commander within the IPOB safety outfit, Japanese Safety Community, and two others throughout a gunbattle in Orlu native authorities space of Imo state.

A press release launched by the spokesperson of the state police command, CSP Michael Abattam, stated the police obtained technical intelligence that members of the proscribed IPOB/ ESN members have been sighted in an remoted uncompleted constructing located in a valley in Amaifeke in Orlu LGA of Imo State, planning to renew terror assaults on police formations and authorities installations within the state.

Abattam said that on September 11, the command’s tactical groups mobilized and stormed the hideout out of the group located in an uncompleted constructing in a valley at Important Dwelling popularly generally known as ” NGBUKA” in Amaifeke Orlu LGA of Imo State.

Emeka Sunday ‘M’ age 20 years of Anike in Ohazara LGA of Ebonyi State and Anthony Okeke ‘M’ age 44 years of Umuala Amaifeke  Orlu LGA of Imo have been arrested whereas others escaped into the bush with bullet wounds.
