Instagram Is Testing out the Ability to Send Silent DMs Without Notifications

Some customers have observed that, after they go to ship a direct message to somebody on the platform, the phrase “silent” seems above the keyboard. Subsequent to the phrase is a notification bell with a line via it, together with the message “ship message with no notification.”

Because it seems, “@silent” does precisely what that message suggests. It is a new characteristic that the platform is testing out which might permit customers to ship messages with out the receiver being notified in regards to the new messages.
