The Brooklyn Shooter has not been apprehended yet. However, a “person of interest” in the shooting on a subway train in Brooklyn on Tuesday, April 12 has been identified by New York City police.

Authorities said a guy wearing a gas mask tossed two smoke canisters and then opened fire aboard a subway car on the N train as it approached the 36th Street Station in Brooklyn during morning rush hour, killing ten people and injuring 13 others.

At a news conference Tuesday night, New York Police Chief of Detectives James W. Essig claimed that Frank R. James, 62, rented a U-Haul van, the keys to which were discovered at the scene of the shooting in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park area.

He stated, “We are looking for Frank James.” “We know he rented that U-Haul van,”

James, who has residences in Wisconsin and Philadelphia, was not listed as a suspect, and Essig said authorities are trying to figure out if he was there during the incident. He said the van was rented in Philadelphia.

Police said during the conference that they were looking for a man believed to be about 5-foot-5 and 180 pounds, wearing a green construction vest during the attack.
