Crossdresser, James Obialor better known as James Brown has become a laughing stock on social media after he denied being a crossdresser following a proposed bill by the House of Representatives.

We reported earlier that Umar Muda a member of the house proposed a new bill proposed by and the House of Representatives has moved to ban cross-dressing in the country.

The bill was read aloud on the House floor on Tuesday, April 5, and it seeks to frown on cross-dressing, with the exception of persons who do it for amusement purposes.

The bill proposes to alter the 2013 Same-S#x Marriage (Prohibition) Act by inserting cross-dressing as one of the act’s offences. If the bill is passed into law, crossdressers such as Bobrisky, James Brown and others risk six months of imprisonment.

“A person engaging in cross-dressing is guilty of an offence and liable to imprisonment of 6 months or to a fine of N500,000,” the bill reads.

Reacting to this, James Brown said he had never been a crossdresser but a skit maker/entertainer, and he is not limited to what he wears for his videos.

He wrote: Please y’all I think you are mistaken things by tagging the CEO of Starrrr all over blogs to be taken to prison and my brand found this so disrespectful because I am not a crossdresser, I have never been a crossdresser, I am a skit maker/entertainer and entertainers are not limited to what to wear until now thanks to y’all for understanding.

The post generated reactions from Nigerians as they mocked him for being scared of going to prison.
