Wizkid’s manager Jada P has shared facts to prove why Wizkid’s Essense and Made In Lagos deserved that Grammy award that was given to Angelique Kidjo.
Most people have shared their opinion about Wizkid losing to Angelique Kidjo at the Grammys and Jada P his manager has called out the Recording Academy saying facts speak louder than a committee full of opinions.
Jada P made a list of the barriers Wizkid’s Essence and Made In Lagos broke and why she thinks those are enough to win him that award but guess that isn’t what the Recording Academy was looking at and as Kofi Kinaata said, music goes beyoung listening and enjoying a song.
Some people have also shared their views that the Recording Academy gave the award to Angelique Kidjo because her song speaks of climate change and its impact which the west is more interested in hence he had to chance to compete with that.
Whatever the reasons are, the Recording Academy owes no one an explanation and all we could do is hope next time he’s nominated, he wins.
